MEET THE BYD DOLPHIN

PRACTICAL, EFFICIENT, STYLISH

The BYD DOLPHIN is a fresh entrant to the automotive scene, offering a nimble and versatile hatchback in the compact C-segment. Combining agility with practicality, it delivers impressive efficiency, with a dependable range of up to 427 km, making it the most compact model in BYD’s extensive lineup.

Despite its small footprint, the BYD DOLPHIN is surprisingly spacious, comfortably seating up to five adults. It comes well-equipped with a suite of convenient features, including Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, Intelligent Cruise Control, and surround-view cameras.

DESIGN

COMPACT & SLEEK

The BYD DOLPHIN features a sleek exterior defined by clean lines and smooth curves, resulting in an elegant and modern design. This agile hatchback combines efficiency with practicality, while its instantly recognisable rounded silhouette is highlighted by sharp detailing along the doors.

Boasting a spacious 2.70 m wheelbase, the DOLPHIN offers plenty of room for both driver and passengers. The standard 16-inch alloy wheels can also be upgraded to 17 inches, adding a sportier touch to its stylish appearance.

SAFETY

DRIVER ASSISTANCE SYSTEMS

The BYD DOLPHIN sets a high standard for safety in the electric car segment, coming equipped with a comprehensive range of advanced driver assistance systems as standard. Recognised as one of the safest models on the market, every version includes features such as a 360-degree camera, Blind Spot Detection (BSD), Lane Keep Assist (LKA), and Intelligent Cruise Control (ICC).

Further enhancing its safety credentials, the DOLPHIN also comes with Rear Cross Traffic Alert (RCTA) and Rear Cross Traffic Brake (RTCB). Using millimetre-wave radar, these systems detect approaching vehicles or pedestrians when reversing, issuing warnings and automatically applying the brakes if a collision is imminent, underscoring its commitment to driver and passenger safety.

Unique Structure

e-PLATFORM 3.0

Built on the advanced BYD e-Platform 3.0, designed specifically for pure electric vehicles, the BYD DOLPHIN offers a host of benefits in intelligence, efficiency, safety, and design. The e-Platform 3.0 allows for a strikingly proportioned exterior, with short front and rear overhangs and a longer wheelbase. This not only enhances the car’s overall aesthetic but also creates a more spacious rear cabin, featuring a flat floor that provides generous comfort and room for passengers in the middle seat.

HIGH PERFORMANCE BATTERY

BYD BLADE BATTERY

The BYD DOLPHIN features the revolutionary Blade Battery, a game-changer in safety, durability, and performance in the electric vehicle (EV) industry for over 28 years. Made from lithium iron phosphate (LFP), a safe and sustainable material that avoids scarce resources like nickel and cobalt, this battery offers exceptional reliability. The DOLPHIN is equipped with a 60 kWh LFP Blade Battery, providing an impressive range of up to 427 km on a single charge.

For charging, the BYD DOLPHIN supports 11 kW AC, allowing a full recharge from empty in around 8 hours. It also offers 100 kW DC fast charging, taking the battery from 30% to 80% in just 29 minutes.

ENERGY EFFICIENCY

HIGH-EFFICIENCY HEAT PUMP SYSTEM

The BYD DOLPHIN is equipped with a state-of-the-art heat pump system as standard, improving both energy efficiency and overall driving range. This innovative system captures residual heat from the powertrain, cabin, and batteries to provide efficient heating and cooling.

Engineered for maximum efficiency across a wide range of temperatures, the heat pump ensures the DOLPHIN remains comfortable in all weather conditions, whether hot or cold.
